Are we real? Absolutely YES!I was a carer for other people's children as a Nanny, Governess, Child Care Worker and Family Day Care Mum for many years before finally having children of my own.
It was during my time as a Family Day Care Mum that I struggled to put together craft activities for the kids. I no longer had the stockpile of books to refer to as I did working for other businesses (and nor did I have the money to spend!). Even so, I really wanted to stimulate the kids with some new and interesting ideas to try.
This is when I turned to the internet. I spent countless hours and found it absolutley exhausting trying to find a variety of the same kind of activities to suit the different ages of the children in my care. There seemed to be bits and pieces everywhere!
As you will read on our home page, the idea for The Biggest Ever Mask Making Book For Kids came from yet another exhausting search online to find ideas for a mask making masquerade party I was planning. I quickly saw the need for a collection of mask making projects in one place that would save carers like you and me precious time researching (which we could be spending with our kids!).
True it's only one resource on one topic but I am only one person! Fingers crossed some other like-minded people will provide something like this on other niche craft ideas. In the meantime I can honestly say all the kids have had a ball with these mask making projects. There's something for everyone in our books and even as teenagers my two girls still refer to it for school projects (and even sometimes to entertain their younger cousins!).
